David started SuperSprint Events in 1986 and established it as one of the world leading event management companies for 30 years before selling it in December 2015. He is one of the pioneers of triathlon in Australia and over the years applied his expertise to creating an internationally recognised portfolio of popular and iconic mass participation events that are still being staged today. He is regarded as being one of the leaders in event management with benchmark standards in marketing presentation, innovation and organization.

He has a strong passion for events and in December 2017 started Hansen Event Consulting & Management to use his knowledge and experience to help other event organisers, government agencies and corporations be more successful with their events.
